PROJECT PROGRESS - Heart Guard - MARCH

Here we present status and progress in creating new technology for intraoperative cardiac metabolism management – Heart Guard. 

Simultaneously 3 institutions and 3 scientists and engineers teams carried on research on 4 main components of Heart Guard probe. First components have been assembled for the first working prototype. This zero prototype was tested in laboratory and on ex-vivo tissue. 

We state that first prototype is functional. All signals were constantly collected from working environment and presented by software. All the teams did not meet any significant complications in creating new technology for use in cardiac surgery.  `

During next 3 months we will prepare prototypes and organize first experiment on a living porcine heart. Since the principal elements of all Heart Guard systems are specified, we will start work on the patent application.
